Hello everyone – My apologies for taking so long to post.  This has been an overly hectic time with a great deal going on.  I won’t go into detail with this post, but instead go straight to Sophie’s update.

Sophie’s surgery is scheduled for Sept 24th.  She is currently doing well and playing with her foster family, enjoying each and every day.  She’s as cute as ever, and as soon as we can get more photos or video, we’ll get them posted for you.  We are very excited about the surgery and getting her “fixed up.”  We’re about 3/4 of the way there with the money and continuing to work at raising funds.

I want to say a tremendous THANK YOU to everyone who has been so incredibly kind and donated toward her surgery.  I have been overwhelmed with the heart of strangers who are going on faith and their love for animals, donating toward Sophie’s surgery.  It has been incredibly touching to see the trust placed in us for Sophie’s care, and for believing that we will do all we can for her sweet soul…and I promise you that we will.  She is in a fabulous foster home with a ton of love within the family, both human and animal, and they have been, and are, committed to her daily care both now and post surgery.  They have been a tremendous blessing to this sweet puppy, and I’m grateful to their big hearts.

I want to say another THANK YOU to a sweet person whose name I don’t know.  It was a donation sent with no return address, and with a Humane Society piece of paper wrapped around the donation.  It meant so very, very much, and we are forever grateful for your selflessness.

MY APOLOGIES to anyone who emailed shortly after the word was spread about Sophie but could not get through.  I had a bit of a problem with the server, and several people received a problem/return after sending the email.  I got it resolved a day or so after, and I posted the notes on the website and the blog to let everyone know, but if any emails did not go through, or if you didn’t receive a response from me, please let me know and I’ll be happy to answer any questions.  I replied to several w/no response either, but I fear it’s b/c my email did not go through.  So please know you were not being ignored, and feel free to contact me again.
