While my mother has always been supportive of the rescue, her first experience as a foster began just recently. Today, as we talked, she made a comment that helped me to realize that although she always knew…now she felt it deeply. She stated:

“Now I know why you are so very particular in placing these animals. When you’ve lived with them and fallen in love, you can’t stand the thought of them going somewhere unsafe or unloved. You just love them too much.”

Yes, Mother – this is the exact reason I am so particular. Love weighs heavy on the heart. 🙂
