Honey came home from the first part of her heartworm treatment today.  She is doing very well, and fortunately, things went as they should.  She’ll now be confined to a crate, for there is not to be any stress to the heart during the recovery period.  In one month she’ll go back for the 2nd half of her treatment.  One month past the 2nd treatment, she’ll be finished.  It’s an extended period of time, due to her advancement, but in the end it will be worth it.  You always wish you could explain this to the animal so they’d understand.

On her dismissal sheet the staff simply wrote “We love Honey!!”
