Here is a link to a video about a group I work with – “P.E.T.S., Inc.”  Great group of people, and they have helped save many lives by providing this service to both adopters in the northeast and rescues/animals in the south.  The start in Florida and Arkansas and work their way up to the New England states.  Thank goodness for techonology (such as Petfinder.com) and advancements that enable us to work together this way and find these animals loving homes.  Sadly, these animals don’t even represent half of the animals in the shelters.  Please always stress to people the importance of spaying and neutering, both for overpopulation and health issues.  Also encourage responsible pet ownership and kindness to animals whenever you’re provided the opportunity.  It’s the only way we’ll end all the unnecessary demise of hundreds of thousands of animals.
